On Handling Memory

This work looks at the family archive as a space of preservation, but also of control. Using materials connected to storing and protecting photographs (album sleeves, plastic pockets, invitation paper, and archival coverings), the works explore how images and their narratives are managed over time.

Here, the protective elements begin to fail. Photographs slip out of their sleeves and start to deteriorate.

On Handling Memory, 2026. Photo and archival material, plexiglass, screws. 30 x 24,5 cm (each).
