Pictures Also Dry

Like bodies left out in the sun, pictures also dry.
They lose definition, gain creases and stains.
In this installation, vernacular photographs, fragments of ordinary lives appropriated from public archives, are manually transferred onto stretched bed sheets, like memories at the mercy of time.

In this intimate cycle, the act of washing is not purely functional… it is a ritual of care and forgetting. The sheets, once shields of comfort, become carriers of stories.
They breathe between presence and absence, familiarity and strangeness, the home and its ruptures.

The clothesline becomes a space that transforms the intimate into the public, and where memory, like water, evaporates.
