Claro que te Amo

Claro que te amo (Of course I love you) is an installation that fragments autobiographical family memory through a dispersed set of objects – photo albums, video cassettes, a sculptural fragment, a knife – onto which video is projected.

The work stages a tension between care and violence, where a childlike declaration (“of course I love you”) coexists with signs of rupture, destabilizing familiar narratives of intimacy. Memory appears here as something constructed and contaminated, shaped as much by images as by lived experience. Rather than forming a linear account, the installation operates as a shifting constellation in which meaning emerges through fragmentation, projection, and the unstable relation between objects.
